A Study on Gradual Attitudes,Change in Rural Area School of Nursing Studnts


Abstract
The survey was conducted on the response to the questionnaires of 446 students including students in rural area following School such Cheong Ju Nursing School, Chung Buk, and Going Ju Nursing School, Chung Nam, during 25 days from October 20 to November 15, 1975.
The data of this study derived from the responses to the questionnaires prepared by the writer.
The results obtained were as follow:
1. 36 percent of nursing students was determined the motivation of nursing students in choosing the profession by their parents and teachers.
91 percent of them was above average in the standard of living.
2. In the attitude for campus life, more than half of number¢¥s 54.1 percent of dissatisfaction in their school-life was reacted subsequent change or attitude and out look in the course of undergraduate studies.
One of the main reasons which the nursing student¢¥s should have encountered was on heavy lecture and clinical practice.
31.5 percent of nursing students. liked to learn sociology.
Their field of were to be going abroad 38.8 percent and general hospital in our country 26.6percent
3. The highest rate, 48.3 percent of students was said, their purpose of studying on nursing profession could serve for mankind and society, with the more.

responses on humanistic nursing.
4.6:7 percents of students spent their time on hobbies in the way of spending leisure hours. But only 6.6 percent of students regarded the abilities of fulfilling academic requirement in the basic subjects.
The chief problem, no significant between the two nursing school, which the nursing-students should have encounter was on heavy lecture and clinical prac¡þtice in the 36.6 percent of 1st and 2nd year students, and setting occupation in the future in the 3rd 45.9 percent.¡þ
In the campus life, the problem which students should meet was taken to counsel with their companies.
As the-nursing student, the opinion of religion said they must have religion 89.5 percent.
4. It was reveal that in clinical practice 5.0.2 percent of the nursing students wanted instructor as, the clinical supervision.
The chief of difficulties, the nursing school students found during clinical practice was. demonstration 32.1 percent.
The chief problem of clinical practice was tension to deal with man¢¥s life 34.6 percent, and next on personal relation 33.6 percent.
5. In the available educational facilities, the high degree 47.2 percent of¡þ dissatisfaction with not having a hospital in affiliation.
The opinion on the dormitory was reasonably appreciated in the rural area The nursing students showed to be badly needed dormitory facility.
